Conductivity Probe Macroscopic View

Description:

This illustration shows a simplified macroscopic view of how the sensor in the tip of a Vernier Go Direct Conductivity Probe functions by measuring the rate of ion flow through water.

This illustration is part of a set of simple diagrams and spot illustrations done for the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. The illustrations were made to be visual learning aids as part of the material given to volunteers in the museum’s Watershed Guardians program, which provides equipment and teaches volunteers how to take and report data about bodies of water (i.e. alkalinity, conductivity, flow rate, etc.) in the Monterey Bay Area.
