Description:

This digitally illustrated poster was designed for the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. Included are species of birds and plants commonly found in the museum’s garden: a Western Gull adult and chick (Laurus occidentalis), a Red-shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus) perched in a California Buckeye (Aesculus californica), a female Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) about to feed from the blossom of a Humming Bird Sage (Salvia spathacea), a Western or California Scrub-Jay (Aphelocoma californica) perched on a gardenig bucket and framed by California Poppies (Eschscholzia californica), and a Dark-eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis) looking for food at the base of the Hummingbird Sage plants.

This composition is a reworked version of an interpretive panel.
